What is CaseWatch Alerts?
CaseWatch Alerts is a robust case alert service to efficiently monitor activity of cases in the Indian Court System, by delivering fast, accurate, and consolidated email/SMS alerts when a case status is updated on courts web site.
What do I need to get started?
To get started, you need to sign up and add case numbers of a jurisdiction to search for cases to monitor.
When will I start receiving alerts?
You may receive the SMS/Email alert once the case status is updated on CaseWatch. Generally it takes from 30 Min to 1 Hours, if the courts website is functional and your case no is correct.
Is there a limit to the number of cases I can monitor?
No, there is no limit, you can add as many cases as you subscribe.
Is there a limit to the number of alerts I can receive?
No, there is no limit to the number of alerts you can receive.
Can I manage alerts for my client?
Yes, you can set alerts for yourself (registered mobile no ) and 1 additional alert for your client etc.
Can I manage my account from my phone or mobile?
Yes. It’s a webapp so you can access it from your phone’s or mobilebrowser as well.
Can I change the frequency of alerts?
No, but you can set alert schedule e.g. you can set alert for a case, x days before next hearing date.
Can I receive alerts as text messages?
Can I make bulk changes to my case subscriptions?
No, changes will have to be made to cases individually.
Can I print from CaseWatch Alerts?
Yes, you can print your casedetail reports, lists of cases etc.
Can I download cases added in CaseWatch?
Yes, you can download all your cases in XLS format.
How do I receive alerts for a case?
You will receive the alerts via email/SMS notifications.
How do I create a custom alert list?
Go to Settings and against a casethere is a “Set Alert” icon. You may set alert for yourself and your client as well, you may schedule it as well.
How do I cancel my account?
Your subscription is by default for 1 year, in case if you want to close this account during this subscription period you may write an email to email@example.com
Can I change my subscription options once I begin receiving alerts?
Yes. You can you may upgrade your account any time.
What if my case details not updated?
Please check if you have added a valid case no, also it may depend upon court website.
I am getting “Case not available” against the case I have added.
It shows either the case no. is invalid or its not updated on courts website, please recheck and enter it again.
Will there be any expiry for my account?
It’s an annual subscription. It will be valid for 1 year from the date your account is activated.
Do I need to renew my account every Year?
Yes, you will need to renew your account on or before the expiry date every year. In case you do not renew your account, your stored data will be retained in our system for 2 months from the Expiry date, post which your data will be removed from our Storage system.
Is it possible to delete the cases added in my account?
No, You cannot delete the cases added on your Case Tracker, however you can archive it if you don’t want to see the cases under My Cases.
Do I get Alerts for District Court Judgments/Cases?
Yes. You can set alerts for District court of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajsthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, cases at present, we will be adding more states soon.
Is there option to synchronize my case alerts to Google calendar?
Yes. You can synchronize case alerts on CaseWatch to Google calendar and outlook calendar as well.
Can I search other judgments and citations on CaseWatch?
Yes. If you are a Manupatra Subscriber, you can search cases and Judgments similar to Manu search which is available under the tab Manupatra on CaseWatch Homepage. However, non subscriber doesn’t have this option.
What will be my ID and password for CaseWatch if I am a Manupatra Subscriber?
If you are an existing Manupatra subscriber , your id and password will be same as Manupatra, also in case if you have changed your password in Manupatra it will automatically change the password of CaseWatch account associated with that as well. In case if you are still not able to login please user Forgot password option to retrieve your password.
